The Setswana lexicon is written in the Latin alphabet but has a bi-syllabic structure like Japanese language...easy on the lips and enjoyable to hear.

The official languages of Botswana are English and Setswana, and the national language is Setswana (interchangeably used with the word 'Tswana').

Setswana is spoken and well understood by over 90% of the population. The language belongs to the Bantu people, of a family of languages spoken in the majority of southern African countries.
