Serowe

Serowe is the administrative capital of Central District.

This is the largest District in Botswana covering towns such as Francistown, Palapye and further regional areas of Bobirwa, Tswapong, Kalanga of Tutume to Maitengwe, Bokaa of Shoshong and Dibete to the south.

Serowe is a huge semi-urban place that lies sprawled over a large area with a mix of modern buildings and traditional mud huts.


Central District

The Central District is renowned for activities of tourism, agriculture and education. With a spatial area covering 150,000km2 it is almost one third of the total country with the highest population.

The District is home of two major diamond mines of Orapa/Letlhakane and Damtshaa, and has the largest number of learning institutions.
